Awe, Gratitude, and a Belly Pic

On Tuesday, as I was leaving the restroom at work, I noticed a pregnant woman in the mirror...me. Wow - I am really pregnant.

On Wednesday, I was cooking in the kitchen while my husband was telling me about his day. I was just standing there, listening, and he stopped talking, looked at me and said, "You are really showing. This is getting weird." I know it.

Yesterday, I had to sit down because of all the flipping that was going on in my belly. My baby was excited for some reason and jumping for joy! Keep dancing, baby. Keep dancing. And for the first time I experienced something I've only heard about up until now: ravenous hunger. I ate two lunches yesterday. Two. A personal sized pizza and then twenty minutes later: a sandwich and chips. Good grief! I guess someone was hungry!

I can (still) hardly believe that this gift has been given to me. Every day I find myself in complete awe of where I am...where I was...and how I got here. It makes me weepy, and can anyone blame me? On top of what seems to be "high emotions" this week, which can easily translate into "high hormones," the bigger my belly gets, the more and more grateful I feel. I don't think I could get more grateful than today, then tomorrow happens, and I am. Thank You, Lord, for the life you have given to me. Thank You!

23 Weeks Tomorrow

They're not the best pictures, but you can kind of see my little basketball :) Sorry for the messy room (it's the spare room, soon to be cleaned out to be the baby's room) but at least the cat came out to make an appearance! Hi Chloe!
