New Beginnings and Private Blog

I am SO in love.

This weekend I created a new blog which will document our life with our little JB. We decided to make it private, so if you would like to read it, send your email address to myheartexults@gmail.com. MHE blogspot will remain public and I will continue to blog about my experiences, but the idea for the new blog is for it to be all things baby.

In the meantime, we tried something new yesterday:

That is JB's first bottle. The idea is to help daddy bond with the baby. I must admit: I want to hate this. I want to be selfish and be the only one to feed my baby. I love nursing, and I don't want to share. But one bottle a day won't hurt me, or JB, and it will help DH and the baby so I'll do it...but I don't have to like it...at least not at first. All I have to say is: this better work or I'm tossing this pump and all equipment that goes with it! I think that is the oxytocin talking...

  2. Me too!!! You know I don't want to miss a moment of JB preciousness! Elizabeth takes a bottle sometimes once a day too and I love the flexibility. I love nursing, but like today we were at morning Mass and they have adoration afterwards. I wanted to stay a bit, but I knew she would need to eat and I am not yet comfortable with nursing in public (yet), so I brought a bottle of pumped milk and it was great. She was content, we were both in adoration, and I got to point out Jesus to her. That is just one way it works for us and yes, Mr. B loves to feed her as well and I know he likes the opportunity to give her a bottle every now and then. I usually pump once a day (for now) right after her 1st morning feeding because even after she is done, there is still a bunch in there and I use that as the extra bottle if needed during the day. (But yes, you can still hate it!) :)

  3. Awwwww, he's such a cutie! I would stare at him all day. Daddy looks like he loves his bonding time. :-)
