Do you have one of these?
It attaches to one of these:
I originally bought the hose to help give the dog a bath, but when JB came along, I realized how helpful it is to have when giving him one. There is a side notch where you connect the hose to the shower head. Easy on, easy off...allegedly...
So, DH and I are in a very STUPID disagreement when 6:15pm rolls around and my little cutie pie baby needs a bath because bedtime is at 7:00pm. DH, who was supposed to give the baby a bath, was holding him (JB) and because DH is not sure how to set up the hose, I take the baby and get his bath ready.
With the naked baby in my arms, and as we check the water temperature, I notice the hose is leaking at the top of the shower head where it connects. I decide to fix it without turning the water off.
The hose pops off the shower head and water starts shooting out of the side of the shower. Translation; water is flowing out of the connection part and it is now showering water on me and JB and the entire bathroom!
Aggghhhh! HELP!
JB and I are soaking wet (as is the entire bathroom) and it takes me a few seconds to realize that I need to turn the water off. I just start laughing, after all...it is only water...
Very funny.
Very, very funny. I needed that. I really did. I think that was God's way of telling me to cool off.
After the bath, I put everything away, but I notice that the hose felt funny when I took it apart from the shower head. Oh well...it came off and that is what matters...right?
After JB went to bed, DH and I decided to continue our VERY STUPID fight. We go to bed mad and wake up mad.
AND THEN at 7am, I hear DH go into the bathroom to get ready for work. I hear him turn the water on and then...
*Expletive!*
*I hear the sound of water hitting the tile floor*
I knew right away what happened. The water was coming out of the side of the shower head again. I start laughing out loud in bed. Hahahahahaha!
I'm laughing now just thinking about it....
I guess he still needed to cool off too!
Hee hee...
So, the lesson here is this:
- Don't get into stupid fights...
- Don't get into stupid fights and try to attach a tricky hose to the shower...
- Check the tricky nozzle if it feels weird when you take the hose off...
- Laugh when funny things happen, even if it means you have to wipe down the entire bathroom twice...
- And don't get into stupid fights.
*Please note: The said "stupid fight" is no longer. The hose is getting a second chance.

Hilarious! I especially like the part where you lay in bed laughing after realizing what happened! Something I would do. Especially if I was mad at my hubs!
ReplyDeleteTOO FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteThis is funny for I had to replace our shower head last week too. I have the one where it has a hose and I love it too. I didn't get water all over the place though so I guess my situation wasn't really funny...actually a pain for I had to go out and get a new shower head.
ReplyDeleteThat totally sounds like something that would happen in our house!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny lesson learned!
